Crystal South Surf Camp
I had a great time learning new surfing skills with Jo. I learned more about reading waves, positioning, and timing in one day than I had in many previous sessions on my own. In addition, Jo is very personable, friendly, and fun to be around. It's clear that she's well known, well liked, and respected around Wrightsville Beach, and I'm glad to have gotten the chance to get to know her. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to improve their surfing.
I took surf camp from Crystal South Surf Camp for a week with my two nephews. I was in my late 30's and they were 8 and 12. Jo and Ed were extremely professional and always put safety first, while making the camp tons of fun. I cannot recommend these guys highly enough! I have come back on my own and taken private lessons for myself from Jo! For anyone wanting to learn how to surf, or become a better surfer, Crystal South is the place to go!

I had my first surf lesson with Jo on the very first day of this 2012. Well.. no better way to start a new year! What about Jo?? She's definitely one of the best persons I've ever met. I liked her since the moment we shacked hands. She’s a really good teacher. She’s patient and funny and I like her approach and method. She succeeded in making me able to catch the waves! So.. let’s surf together with Jo! Yeah!
Jo was excellent at working with my younger kid and he was surfing in no time. He loved it!
I surfed Malibu in the 60's, and have not been on a board much since. The tips Ed gave me, and the board he chose for me have made my surfing experience successful instead of frustrating! Thanks, Ed!
I just wanted to say thanks for a great week of surf camp for Jackson. He really enjoyed it and learned a lot. He seems to have the "bug" so I am sure he will continue with surfing. Thanks for all your help!

We had an AWESOME time and you were the greatest! We will definitely look you up anytime we go surfing in NC (or if we plan a big destination trip). I just posted some pictures on your Facebook page. Hope you enjoy them. They are priceless memories of a wonderful experience that we got to share with you!
Ed, Jo and Leilani, Thanks so much for showing Dante and Wyatt such a great surfing experience. I would recommend your camp to anyone seeking the surfing adventure. Dante is looking at a Degree 33 (funboard) 6'8" tomorrow. I don't know anything about this board (or any) but sounded good on the web. Do you know anything about these boards? Thanks for your time.
